Present your requests to God.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7 Thank you, Father God, for your promises, thank you for the peace that only you can give, peace this world could never understand. Help me remember, O Lord, not to be anxious about anything, but trust that you are already at work in my life, to rejoice and be thankful for all that I have, all that you have done for me and all that you will still do for me, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

A broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise.  You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;  you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.  My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;  a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.  Psalm 51:15-17  Loving Father in heaven, you are always close to the brokenhearted, have mercy on me according to your unfailing love;  according to your great compassion, wash away all my sins and keep me humble in your sight, O Lord.  May you fill my heart with your peace as I humbly surrender my heart and will to you, I pray in Jesus' name.  Amen

His mercies begin afresh each morning

The faithful love of the Lord never ends His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:22-23 Faithful Lord in heaven, great is your faithfulness, your mercies never cease, I thank you because your Word is full of hope, tenderness, compassion and love. I know that I stumble and fall because I am not perfect, but I'm thankful that your loving mercy and grace begin fresh each morning. May I walk refreshed with your Spirit, O God, full of hope and joy as I keep faithfully trusting and loving you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Giving thanks to God the Father

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed,  do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,  giving thanks to God the Father through him.  Colossians 3:17 Father God, help me remember to be  thankful  in every situation and to remember that whatever I do  I should do it as if I am doing it for you, to bring you honor and glory.  May my actions reflect the love I have for you and may my heart belong fully to you, I pray in Jesus' name.  Amen

The gift of God is eternal life

What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:21-23 Thank you Father God, for the gift of eternal life, thank you for being so patient with me and for your mercy and grace. Cleanse me from my sins, O Lord, cleanse me from all unrighteousness and set me free, that I may live a life of holiness, a life worthy of your love, and may I follow the path that leads to eternal life at your side, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Maintain justice and do what is right

“Maintain justice and do what is right,  for my salvation is close at hand  and my righteousness will soon be revealed.  Isaiah 56:1 Sovereign Lord in heaven, blessed be your name in all of the earth, thank you for the gift of salvation and your abundant love.  Help me trust in your goodness, righteousness, and power and live to honor and please you, O God,  help me do what is right in your eyes, not the world's, I pray in Jesus' name.  Amen

Fix our eyes on what is unseen

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 Father God, I thank you for reminding me that everything in this earth and what it has to offer is only temporary, but the things of your kingdom and your amazing promises are eternal. Help me fix my eyes on you and your kingdom, O Lord, help me prioritize what really matters at the end and to always live by faith, not by sight, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
