Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 Sovereign Lord in heaven, thank you for the hope you have given us in Jesus, thank you for your precious promises and the hope of eternal glory at your side. Remind us when facing troubles, that they are momentary, O God, that we need to keep our eyes fixed on you and your heavenly and eternal kingdom, I pray, in Jesus' name. Amen

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 Merciful Lord, thank you for your reassurance, thank you for your promises and encouragement. Sometimes the troubles of this life can be overwhelming, but I don't want to live in fear or be discouraged. Lord, be with me wherever I go, guide every step I take and keep giving me that peace that surpasses all understanding that I may stand strong and courageous as I trust in you, I pray in Jesus' name. Free us from the depths of distress, O Lord, from guilt, resentment, depression, and anxiety and help us walk in joy, trusting in you always, knowing that you are fully in control of our lives and that you are working everything for your glory and our good no matter how things look today, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. Romans 5:3-5 Father God, it is not easy to think of rejoicing when we run into problems and trials, but I thank you for reminding us that they will help us develop endurance and strength of character, that trials make us stronger and bring us close to you. I thank you for the hope you have given us and you have put into our hearts, O Lord and always being at our side through the darkest moments of our lives. May we look for the positive in everything that happens in our lives, may we learn from it and may you use it to bring us closer to your kingdom, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 Thank you Lord, for loving me so much, for being gentle and kind to me even though I don't deserve you. Thank you for letting me come to you just as I am, weak, helpless, and burdened. I ask that you give me rest, the kind of rest that only you can give to my soul, that I may rest in your loving arms, as I surrender my life to you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Psalm 73:25-26 Sovereign Lord in heaven, you are my God, my King, my refuge and strength, and my portion for ever. I want to give you honor and praise for all the blessings you have poured down on me, O Lord. May the desire of my heart be to be near you, to please you and seek your heavenly treasures, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Psalm 27:1 Merciful and loving Lord, thank you for being my light and my salvation, thank you for reminding me that I should not fear because you are always with me.
