Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5

Loving Father in heaven, I am so thankful to have your promises, hope and encouragement because I know it is impossible to change what I need to change in my life on my own. I need you, O Lord, help me be a new creation in your Son, Jesus. Help me start the new year with your guidance, wisdom and strength. Help me remember that you alone know what your plans for me will be this year and only you can give me the strength and the wisdom I will need to meet any challenges. Help me put off my old way of life and shine for you this year, to be your hands and feet and be a blessing to others. May your merciful blessings and grace be upon me, my family and loved ones each and everyday as we put our faith and hope in you, I pray in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus. Amen

Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you. Psalm 139:17-18  Father God, I can't even begin to comprehend that your thoughts toward me outnumber the grains of sand on the seashore, that your thoughts towards me are not thoughts of condemnation or of judgement, but thoughts of absolute love, and all you want to do is to bless me abundantly. Help me surrender my life to you, O Lord, to give you my heart and receive your love and abundant blessings, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
