And above all these put on love

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. Colossians 3:12-15

Heavenly Father, Creator of all, thank you for choosing me to be your child, even though I fall short of your glory every day. Fill me with kindness, humility, meekness and patience, help me be compassionate and forgiving as you are, O Lord. May the peace of your son Jesus rule in my heart each day, as I put my trust and hope in you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble

God is our refuge and strength,  an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear,  though the earth give way and  the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,  though its  waters  roar and foam  and the mountains quake with their surging.  Psalm 46:1-3 Father God, thank you so much for being my refuge and strength, thank you for being there for me when I face troubles.  Help me  live  one day at a time without fear, O Lord, trusting that you will make all things right in your time. Help me surrender to your will  so that I may be at peace and praise you though the storms, I pray in Jesus' nam e.  Amen
