For out of you will come a ruler

But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’ Luke 2:6
Blessed Lord, ruler of all, I thank you for being my God and Savior, I thank you for coming to this world to deliver us and lead us to eternal life. Help me follow you and be obedient to your will, O Lord help me seek you and your heavenly riches with all my heart, and be grateful and thankful for all the blessings you have poured out on me, I pray in your Holy Name. Amen

Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
