Be made new in the attitude of your minds

​You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24
Father God, as we begin a new yer, I ask you to help me put away anything in my life that is ungodly, anything that is unrighteous and does not please you or bring you honor. Help me be a new creation, O Lord, to be Christ-like and to walk according to your ways and may your will and plans for my life prevail this year as I put all my trust in you, I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 Mighty and wonderful God in heaven, blessed be your Name in all of the earth, thank you for your amazing promises and wonderful words of love. Help me walk the path you have for me, O Lord, help me to stay strong and firm in faith always in every situation, that I may one day receive the crown of life you have promised, I pray in Jesus' name.
