God comforts us in all our troubles

​Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Merciful Father, I know you have not promised us an easy life, I know that we live in a fallen world, full of sin and suffering. I am so thankful that I can claim your promises to be with us through the storms of life and when I am in the middle of a storm, I ask that you build my faith, teach me to trust in you and worship you through the storm. Thank you for reminding me how much I need you in my life every day, O God, show me your power, mercy, grace and comfort that I may us the comfort I receive from you to comfort others and bring them into your Kingdom, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you. Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
