What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?  For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels,  and then he will reward each person according to what they have done. Matthew 16:26-27

Father God, thank you for reminding me that this world is only temporary and nothing in this earth is worth losing my soul and an eternity with you. Help me, O God, to walk according to your will, to be obedient and true to your word that I may share the wonderful reward in your kingdom, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 Mighty and wonderful God in heaven, blessed be your Name in all of the earth, thank you for your amazing promises and wonderful words of love. Help me walk the path you have for me, O Lord, help me to stay strong and firm in faith always in every situation, that I may one day receive the crown of life you have promised, I pray in Jesus' name.
