When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy

 


When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy. Psalm 94:18-19

Lord my God, you are my fortress and the rock in whom I take refuge, you are my salvation and strength. I come to your throne of grace with thanksgiving in my heart to thank you and give you praise, to ask that you keep reminding me not to be anxious about anything, but to leave everything in your righteous hands. Fill me with joy, regardless of the current circumstances, remind me that my joy comes from you, not this world, not the people of this world, but from you, my comforter and my loving father, I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. Help me walk the path you have for me, O Lord, help me to stay strong and firm in faith always in every situation, that I may one day receive the crown of life you have promised, I pray in Jesus' name.
