Give thanks in all circumstances

Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Forgiving and merciful Lord in heaven, I want to live my life as you have asked me to live. Give me a pure and clean heart, that I may love as you do, forgive as you do and strive to do what is good in your sight. Help me be patient with others and to be thankful in all circumstances remembering there are people in worse situations than my own, O God, help me rejoice even in suffering and fill me with your unconditional love for others, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 Mighty and wonderful God in heaven, blessed be your Name in all of the earth, thank you for your amazing promises and wonderful words of love. Help me walk the path you have for me, O Lord, help me to stay strong and firm in faith always in every situation, that I may one day receive the crown of life you have promised, I pray in Jesus' name.
