For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:8-12

Thank you Father God, for being so compassionate and gracious, for forgiving my sins and not treating me as I truly deserve to be treated. I am grateful for your amazing, everlasting and unconditional love. May I learn to be more like you, O Lord, may I be full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in love as you are, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
