Merciful and loving God, thank you for loving us and teaching us the way we should go and for the hope you have given us that if we train our children in your ways, even if they depart, they will come back. I ask that you give us wisdom to guide our children, to lead them by word and example, to guide them in the path of righteousness. Most of all, I ask that your Holy Spirit guides them, O God, that they may live a life of honor and integrity, that they may be honest, respectful, courageous, forgiving, kind and loving. Keep them under your loving care and never let them go, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
