We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. Romans 5:3-5

Father God, it is not easy to think of rejoicing when we run into problems and trials, but I thank you for reminding us that they will help us develop endurance and strength of character, that trials make us stronger and bring us close to you. I thank you for the hope you have given us and you have put into our hearts, O Lord and always being at our side through the darkest moments of our lives. May we look for the positive in everything that happens in our lives, may we learn from it and may you use it to bring us closer to your kingdom, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
