Do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live

 

And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live.
Remember, he has identified you as his own,
guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander,
as well as all types of evil behavior.
Ephesians 4:30-31

Righteous and holy God in heaven, help me get rid of my old sinful nature and former way of life,
cleanse me from all unrighteousness and anything that would grieve your Spirit.
May your Spirit renew my thoughts and desires, and make me a new creation that is not controlled by anger, malice, resentments or evil behavior.
Keep reminding me that I am your child, and have been redeemed, and that I will stand in your presence one day, I pray in Jesus' name.
Amen
