Draw near to God

“God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:6-8

Gracious Father in heaven, blessed be your name in all of the earth. I humbly come to you asking for your grace, asking you to guide me back to you if I have drifted away from you. I ask forgiveness of my sins and I ask that you restore unto me the joy of your salvation. Fill me with your Spirit, O God, help me get close to you and never let me go. Help me resist the temptations of this world and anything that draws me away from you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
