This is love

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10

Merciful and Almighty God in heaven, I thank you for the amazing love you had for us before we even knew you. Thank you for sending your Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins and for being so patient with us. May my actions reflect the gratitude I have for the sacrifice that was paid for my sins,  O Lord, may I walk with a thankful heart, in obedience and in love each day, I pray in the precious name of your Son, my Savior, Jesus. Amen.

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 Mighty and wonderful God in heaven, blessed be your Name in all of the earth, thank you for your amazing promises and wonderful words of love. Help me walk the path you have for me, O Lord, help me to stay strong and firm in faith always in every situation, that I may one day receive the crown of life you have promised, I pray in Jesus' name.
