Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God.

For the Scriptures say,“I will take revenge;

I will pay them back,” says the Lord.

Instead,“If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”

Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.

Romans 12:19-21  

Merciful Father, It is not easy to forgive, but it is so easy to lose our tempers and want revenge,

 I thank you for reminding us that revenge belongs to you, O God.

That we are your ambassadors on earth and we need to show your love,

 compassion and forgiveness just as you do for us.

Empty out the unrighteousness inside of us, fill our hearts with your spirit 

until they overflow, I pray in Jesus name.
