Blessed are those whose hope is in the Lord their God

Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them, he remains faithful forever. 
Psalm 146:5-6

Merciful and loving God, creator of all the heavens and earth, I thank you today for the hope you have given me in this dying world, I thank you for your promises of a better future, of an eternal kingdom that will never end. You have given me blessings beyond measure and I humbly ask that you continue to be with me each day, through my victories and defeats, my successes and failures, O God, fill my heart with your hope and joy that I may walk victorious regardless of my circumstances, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Fix your eyes on Jesus

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12:1-2 Blessed Lord, I thank you for the hope you have given me in Jesus, your Son, I thank you for your love and promises, and most of all the gift of salvation. I bring you all my fears, my disappointments, the worries of this life, O God, and I ask you to help me remember this life is but a moment compared to your promised eternity. Help me keep my eyes focus on Jesus, help me walk faithful and with perseverance the path you set before me, and throw off everything that is sinful in my life, I pray in His Holy Name. Amen
