The Lord blesses his people with peace

The Lord is enthroned as King forever. The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. Psalm 29:10-11 Lord God, I'm thankful for your kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy, I ask that you bless me and rule in my heart, give me the peace that surpasses all understanding, peace that only you can give. Rescue me when my spirit is overwhelmed within me, fill me with your love, peace and joy that I may give you praise through the trials of life, O God, let me commit everything into your mighty hand of strength and power and strengthen my soul, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord

But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. Micah 7:7 Mighty God, thank you for being my Father, my King, my Savior, thank you for your gracious mercy and love, for answering my prayers and f or the hope for this life and for eternity. Free us from the depths of distress, O Lord, from guilt, resentment, depression, and anxiety and help us walk in joy, trusting in you always, knowing that you are fully in control of our lives and that you are working everything for your glory and our good, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Be still, and know that I am God

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46:10-11 Father God, you are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble and my fortress, help me to let go of worries and fears and rest in you, help me not fear the future because you are God Almighty and you are in control of everything. Let me surrender my will to you and let you be in control over my life, O Lord, let me be still and listen to your word and guidance and give you glory and honor in everything I say and do, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Mmy ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 Loving and merciful Lord in heaven, blessed be your name in all of the earth, I am so thankful that your ways are better than my ways, your thoughts are always better than mine and your purpose for me is much more than I could ever think. Help me be obedient to your will and lean not on my own understanding, O God, help me be effective, fruitful, faithful and surrender myself completely to you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise. Psalm 111:10 Father of glory, our hearts can be deceitful above all things, we need your wisdom and guidance. Help us walk before you in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart, O Lord, give us a wise and understanding heart, a hunger for your Word, for righteousness and heavenly wisdom, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14 Merciful Lord in heaven, there are so many distractions and temptations in this world, I know that I am weak, but I am thankful that you are strong and I am thankful for your Holy Spirit that guides me. I humbly ask that you let me walk hand in hand with your Son Jesus on the narrow road that leads to eternal life, that your Spirit continues to guide the way and keep me focused on your heavenly kingdom that I may find the small and narrow gate, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14 Jesus, quench my spiritual thirst with your living water, refresh my soul and renew my spirit. Help me focus on you each day and walk humbly in your footsteps, O Lord, help me share your living water with others that they too may quench their spiritual thirst and have a spring of water welling up to eternal life, I pray. Amen

I am the light of the world

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 Thank you Jesus for being my Lord and Savior, for being the light of the world to guide our path. May your light shine on me by day and night, may I walk in the light of your Spirit, obeying your will and being a sunbeam for you in this dark world, I pray in your Holy Name. Amen

He is Risen

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,  but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.  While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.  In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?  He is not here; he has risen!  Luke 24:1-6 Praise be to God Almighty, who has sent His one and only Son to us that we may have eternal life. He lives, He has risen, He had victory over death and He is now sitting at the right hand of God, Praise be the Lord!

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. Romans 3:23-25 Thank you Lord for giving us your Son even though we did nothing to deserve His love and sacrifice, thank you for the redemption that came thorough Him to those who believe.  I know that I fall short of your glory and I humbly come at the foot of the cross asking to wash away my sins, to cleanse me from all unrighteousness, make me pure and clean in your sight, O God, as I choose to follow Jesus, your Son and my Redeemer, in His Name I pray. Amen

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:6-8 Blessed redeemer, thank you for your sacrifice on the cross, for being judged on our behalf, for humbling yourself and carrying the cross, you who knew no sin, paid the ransom for all while we were yet sinners and powerless. Thank you for showing us how much you love us, O Lord, help us to glorify your name in all we do, to put all our hope in you, to follow your footsteps and love and forgive others with your everlasting love, I pray in your Holy Name. Amen

By his wounds you have been healed

He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 My most loving, kind and merciful Lord, thank you for bearing my sins on the cross, thank you for loving me so much that you gave you life for me. I know that nothing I will ever go through can compare to the price you paid at Calvary, O Lord Jesus, help me to discern your will for my life, to live for righteousness in your presence, and share the good news of your kingdom with others, I pray. Amen

Fix your eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 Thank you Jesus, my Lord and Savior, for enduring the cross for me, a sinner, for loving me so much that you gave up your life that I may have eternal life. Help me fix my eyes on you, O Lord, to run the race you marked before me with perseverance and faith that I may see you sitting at the right hand of the throne of God, I pray. Amen

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18 Father God, thank you for sending us your Son, that we may be saved and see your great power and glory. I know how blessed I am to know what was done for me at the cross and I am so thankful and grateful. I know that many consider the message of the cross to be foolishness, help me be a good witness for you with my actions, O Lord, to be mindful that whatever I do, is a reflection on you, that others may come to know you and love you as I do, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 Merciful Lord, I know there is nothing is bigger or more powerful than you, I know that you have full power and authority over everything. Your Word is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Help me demolish any strongholds in my life, O God, equip me for battle against any spiritual forces, feed my spirit with your Word and strengthen my faith, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 May your light guide me to eternal blessings as I follow you, may my light shine before men in such a way that they may see a reflection of you and glorify you, Father in heaven. Help me put on the armor of light, O Lord, and walk as child of light and not of darkness, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10 Father God, you are King of kings and Lord of lords, and yet you are my loving and forgiving father. I am so thankful to have you in my life, so thankful for all that you have done and for what you are still going to do. I know I am not perfect, I know I stumble and fall, but I thank you for being there for me when I do, I thank you for loving me with all my imperfections and I am thankful for your compassion and unfailing love that will not be shaken. Please keep reminding me of your amazing love and let me feel your presence in my life, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21 Heavenly Father, thank you for another day of life, for your morning sun, for your beautiful creations, for the blessings that I receive from you daily and the privilege to be alive. Thank you for reminding me that I can make plans in my heart, but your purpose for me will prevail. I know there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than you and every battle is in your hands for you to fight., O God, and that your plans for me are better than mine. Help me trust in you always and to surrender completely to you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.  Psalm 119:10-11 Lord God, as I search your word daily, I ask that I may be lead by your Holy Spirit, give me wisdom and understanding that I may live according to your word. I know you have a plan for my life, O Lord, and I only ask that you guide me and give me the strength to go where you want me to go and do what you want me to do, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice

Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face  always. Remember the wonders he has done Psalm 105:1-5 My heart rejoices daily and I praise your glorious name, Father God, I thank you for the wonderful things you have done in my life, and the blessings I have received. You are my strength and my rock, O Lord, and I ask that you will bless me as I seek you daily through your Word and prayer, in Jesus' name. Amen

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9 Lord God of the universe, you are faithful and just, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and I am so thankful for your blessings and tender love. May you continue to watch over me and my family, O Lord, may we feel your faithful love and protection surround us each day as we honor you in all we do, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

No eye has seen, no ear has heard the things that God has prepared for those who love him

No eye has seen, no ear has heard and no one’s heart has imagined all the things that God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9 Father God, it is wonderful to imagine what your kingdom will be like, but as your word tells us, we cannot begin to imagine how amazing and beautiful it will be. Thank you for giving us the hope of a better future, one without pain and suffering, without death and disease, the hope of being at your eternal side and seeing our loved ones again. Help me be obedient to your will, O God, and keep walking in the straight and narrow path that leads to your eternal kingdom, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
