Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Matthew 5:44-46
Loving and forgiving Lord, sometimes it is not easy to love those who have hurt and wronged us, but I want to be fully obedient to you, so I ask that you cleanse my heart from all anger, bitterness and hatred, that you clothe me with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Teach me to pray for those who have wronged me, Father, to extend your mercy and forgiveness to them, so that they might also receive what I have been given and they will come to know the peace of Christ and that it will rule in their hearts, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Fix your eyes on Jesus

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12:1-2 Blessed Lord, I thank you for the hope you have given me in Jesus, your Son, I thank you for your love and promises, and most of all the gift of salvation. I bring you all my fears, my disappointments, the worries of this life, O God, and I ask you to help me remember this life is but a moment compared to your promised eternity. Help me keep my eyes focus on Jesus, help me walk faithful and with perseverance the path you set before me, and throw off everything that is sinful in my life, I pray in His Holy Name. Amen
