He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding

He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding, but he that is hasty of spirit show their foolishness. Proverbs 14:29

Lord, guard my lips and give me patience and understanding, help me be slow to anger and think about the words that come out of my mouth before I speak. Help me remember that we are all your children and you love us all, O God, strengthen me with your Holy Spirit and bless me. May I be a blessing to others and may they see your love in my actions everyday, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

My thoughts toward you are countless as the sand on the seashore

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you. Fix your eyes on Jesus

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
