Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 Sovereign Lord in heaven, thank you for the hope you have given us in Jesus, thank you for your precious promises and the hope of eternal glory at your side. Remind us when facing troubles, that they are momentary, O God, that we need to keep our eyes fixed on you and your heavenly and eternal kingdom, I pray, in Jesus' name. Amen

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 Merciful Lord, thank you for your reassurance, thank you for your promises and encouragement. Sometimes the troubles of this life can be overwhelming, but I don't want to live in fear or be discouraged. Lord, be with me wherever I go, guide every step I take and keep giving me that peace that surpasses all understanding that I may stand strong and courageous as I trust in you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Free us from the depths of distress, O Lord, from guilt, resentment, depression, and anxiety and help us walk in joy, trusting in you always, knowing that you are fully in control of our lives and that you are working everything for your glory and our good no matter how things look today, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. Romans 5:3-5 Father God, it is not easy to think of rejoicing when we run into problems and trials, but I thank you for reminding us that they will help us develop endurance and strength of character, that trials make us stronger and bring us close to you. I thank you for the hope you have given us and you have put into our hearts, O Lord and always being at our side through the darkest moments of our lives. May we look for the positive in everything that happens in our lives, may we learn from it and may you use it to bring us closer to your kingdom, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 Thank you Lord, for loving me so much, for being gentle and kind to me even though I don't deserve you. Thank you for letting me come to you just as I am, weak, helpless, and burdened. I ask that you give me rest, the kind of rest that only you can give to my soul, that I may rest in your loving arms, as I surrender my life to you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

​Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever. Psalm 73:25-26 Sovereign Lord in heaven, you are my God, my King, my refuge and strength, and my portion for ever. I want to give you honor and praise for all the blessings you have poured down on me, O Lord. May the desire of my heart be to be near you, to please you and seek your heavenly treasures, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 Merciful and loving Lord, thank you for being my light and my salvation, thank you for reminding me that I should not fear because you are always with me. Be my stronghold each and every day, hold me close to you, O God, never let me go and fill me with your peace, your love and your strength. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Have mercy upon me, O God, According to your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Psalm 51:1-2 Father God, have mercy on me, I am a sinner, I confess all my sins to you and bring them to your throne of mercy and grace. I ask that you wash me thoroughly from my iniquities, and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, O Lord, uphold me by your generous and loving Spirit, guide and teach me your ways, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Isaiah 48:17 Holy Lord, thank you for your loving grace, thank you for teaching me the way I should go. Only you know what is best for me so I leave everything in your Holy and merciful hands, my Redeemer. Direct my path and teach me to trust in you with all my heart and give you praise in all circumstances, I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation 2 Peter 3:14-15 Lord, you are mighty and your power reigns forever, you arm us with strength and guide our paths that we may not stumble. Thank you for being so patient with all of us, for waiting for us to surrender and give you control of our lives. Help me live a spotless, blameless, godly life that we may receive a rich welcome into your eternal kingdom. Purify our hearts and save us, O God, restore unto us the joy of your salvation and let us be at peace with you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Psalm 103:11-12 Merciful and loving God, your mercy is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear you and do your will, you remove our transgressions from us and guide our paths. May your abounding mercy continue to be with me, O Lord, may your will rule in my heart and bring peace, love, joy, healing and strength to my soul, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. Psalms 139:1-4 Father in heaven, you know everything about me, nothing is a surprise to you, O Lord, thank you for reminding me of that. Fill me with wisdom and understanding, cleanse my heart and mind and help me get rid of anything that hinders my prayers. Please help me walk in your ways, guard my lips and let me follow you all the days of my life, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Submit to God and be at peace with him in this way prosperity will come to you. Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart. Job 22:21-22 Merciful and forgiving Lord, I thank you for your amazing blessings, your loving-kindness and everlasting love. Give me a tender and loving heart, one that will submit completely to you, that I may enjoy your peace and prosperity; an obedient spirit and gentle attitude, O God. May your words be forever in my heart as I put my trust completely in you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1:22-23 Father God, I thank you for your amazing love and mercy and I am grateful for your patience with me. I ask that you help me love as you do, O Lord, may I love and honor others deeply and unconditionally so that in all things you may be glorified, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Deuteronomy 6:5-6 ​Mighty God in heaven, I do love you with all my heart, soul and strength and I thank you for being my God, my rock and refuge. I thank you for your protection and blessings and I ask that you continue to be merciful to me and my loved ones. May the desire of my heart be to keep your commandments and do your will, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:12-13 Father in heaven, blessed be your Holy name, thank you for your abundant blessings, thank you for being my God and my Father. Strengthen my faith, help me overflow with thankfulness and be content in every situation, O Lord, keep reminding me that I can do all things with you at my side, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14 Almighty and merciful Lord, thank you for you amazing love and blessings, thank you for reminding me to press on toward you, towards your heavenly riches. Help me be a faithful servant, change my heart and mind and fill it with your Spirit, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 Father God, you make everything beautiful in your perfect time, you know everything, the past, the present and future and you always know what is best for us, yet we cannot even begin to understand. Help us trust in you and your perfect plan for us, O Lord, help us walk in your ways and do good while we live, to be grateful and thankful for each blessing we have received and will receive this new year from you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19 Holy Father, Creator of all, you make all things new, you are in control of heaven and earth and you have me in your righteous hands. Help me not to look at my past mistakes, or dwell in them, but keep my eyes on you and the future you have for me. Help me trust in you, even when I cannot see, O God. Help me live a life of peace, joy, love and righteousness in your sight, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 Merciful Lord, Creator of all, I thank you for being my God, I thank you for being patient with me and loving me with all my imperfections. I have plans for myself this new year, but I know that my plans without your hand in them, may not succeed. You determine our steps, and your plans for us, are always better than we could ever plan for ourselves. Please guide my steps, O God, help me to succeed in all I do and bring honor and glory to your name, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29: 11-13 Father God, I want to thank you for your abundant blessings this past year, for your unconditional, unfailing love and great mercy. As I begin a new year, I ask that you help me seek you with all of my heart, O Lord, guide my steps, fill me with your peace, joy, wisdom and love as I put my trust in you. Help me prosper this year, fixing my eyes on you, give me hunger for your word that I may grow spiritually. Keep me and all my loved ones under your loving care, I pray in Jesus' precious name. Amen
