The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest. Isaiah 9:2-3

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, I thank you for being a light to this dark world, for letting me see your glory, your salvation and for giving me hope for a future because you are the light of hope. Help me walk in the light of Jesus, who came as light in the darkness to free us from spiritual oppression, to remind us when things seem hopeless that you are at work and we can trust you because you will bring victory, hope and comfort to those who love and trust in you, I pray in Jesus name. Amen

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you. Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
