Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will

Father God, so many times I wished I didn't have to face the challenges I have to face in my life, sometimes they seem to be more than I can bear. I pray that if it is for your glory to remove the challenges in my life, please do so, but if it fulfills your purpose, let it be your will and not mine. I surrender my life to you and give you control because I know you are a faithful and loving Father. May your Holy Spirit give me wisdom, strength and direction, as I put my trust in you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you. Fix your eyes on Jesus

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12:1-2 Blessed Lord, I thank you for the hope you have given me in Jesus, your Son, I thank you for your love and promises, and most of all the gift of salvation. I bring you all my fears, my disappointments, the worries of this life, O God, and I ask you to help me remember this life is but a moment compared to your promised eternity. Help me keep my eyes focus on Jesus, help me walk faithful and with perseverance the path you set before me, and throw off everything that is sinful in my life, I pray in His Holy Name. Amen
