Do not be anxious about anything

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Merciful Father, our lives are full of trials, temptations and troubles, but we know that we should never be discouraged; because we have the privilege to bring everything to you in prayer and we thank you for that privilege. Be our refuge and strength, O God, put your arms around us and be our shield
and our rock as we face the path you have before us. Help us remember that you are in control of every situation and that you will always be at our side. Give us the peace which transcends all understanding and guard our hearts and minds, I pray in the loving name of our Lord Jesus, our Savior. Amen

Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
