 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him. John 1:9-10

God of mercy and love, thank you for sending your Son to give us the true light that we may not walk in darkness. Thank you for being merciful and full of compassion, for loving us as we are, with all our imperfections. Help us walk in the light of your love, O God, help us be a reflection of your love, mercy and compassion, not just this holiday Season, but always, I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
