Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5;17-18 Merciful Lord, as this year comes to an end, I ask that you help me let go of all that is negative in my life, to let go of bitterness, anger, fear and anything that robs my time and joy. Help me surrender my life over to you, O God, soften my heart that I may gracefully choose faith over fear, anger, bitterness or resentments. May all these melt away Lord, make all things new, bring hope alive in my heart and cause my spirit to be born again. Thank you for this past year, for the many blessings I received. Thank you for the new year to come, for all the potential it holds, the opportunities to serve and honor you and all the blessings that await me. Help me be a new creation in Christ, to be a blessing and an inspiration to others, so that many will see yo

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. Psalm 143:10-11 Father God, teach me to serve you and do your will, guide my feet and my life because you are my merciful God and I love you. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.  James 4:10 It is so easy to be proud, Lord, and being humble is not, but I humbly come before you and surrender all to you. I want to trust in you with all of my heart, even when I cannot see the road ahead of me, I ask that you will lift me up, O God, bring me and keep me close to you always, in Jesus' name. Amen

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you. Psalm 84:10-12 Blessed Lord in heaven, I know that I have sinned and don't deserve you, I know that I have fallen short of your glory, Lord Almighty, but I ask that you restore me, that you bring me back to you, change my heart, be my sun and shield. Help me walk blameless in your sight, O God, help me honor you in all I do and keep trusting in you always, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

  This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about .  His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.     Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce  her quietly.   But after he had considered this, an angel  of the Lord appeared to him in a dream  and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.     She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, [ f ]  because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill  what the Lord had said through the prophet:     “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).   When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel  of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home a

                                             But the angel said to them,  “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news  that will cause great joy for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;  he is the Messiah, the Lord.  This will be a sign to you:  You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a  manger .” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel,  praising God and saying,  “Glory to God in the highest heaven,     and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”  Luke 2:10-14 Blessed Lord in heaven, help me bring the good news of the birth of Jesus and the gift of salvation to those who don't know it yet,  that they too will rejoice and be blessed and have the blessed hope of eternal life. Use me for your kingdom, Lord, and let my life be a living testimony of your amazing love, I pray in Jesus' glorious name. Amen

An angel  of the Lord appeared to him in a dream  and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.   She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.  Matthew 1:20-21 Thank you, merciful Father in heaven for Jesus, your only Son, for his gift of salvation. I confess that I am a sinner and I ask for forgiveness of my sins, O Lord. Keep reminding me that there is nothing on this earth that equals the gift you have given us and keep me walking the path the will lead me to an eternal life with you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary;  you have found favor with God.   You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.  He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.  The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,  and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever;  his kingdom will never end.”  Luke 1:30-33 Merciful God, I want to find favor in your sight, I want to be obedient to your will and trust in you even when I don't' understand, just as Mary did. May I bring glory and honor to your name while I wait for your everlasting kingdom, O Lord,  and may your blessings be upon me and my loved ones always, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

  For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 5:19 I thank you, blessed Father, for sending your Son to us, to redeem us and save us from our sins, though we did not deserve you. I ask that you search my heart, O Lord, mold me, help me be blameless in  your eyes. Give me hunger for righteousness and the desire for a prayer life, that I may pray passionately for the need of others, for their joy, faith and salvation, that they too may be blessed abundantly, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

And my God will meet all your needs  according to the riches of his glory  in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4 Gracious and loving Father, I thank you for being my provider, I thank you for the blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to come. I humbly ask you to give me wisdom that I may be a good steward over all that you have given me, O Lord, please continue to strengthen my faith and bless me as I walk in your ways I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.   I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled  and do not be afraid. John 14:27 Thank you, O Lord, for the amazing peace that you have given us, for your promises and mercy. May my  heart  be at peace and not troubled  and may I never be afraid  knowing  that your timing is perfect  and that you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name.  Amen

I was reminded today what an awesome God we serve, no matter how big your problem is, our God is bigger than your problem. No matter what you are going through today, you need to remember that God loves you and He will never leave you or forsake you, and that He is in control of everything. Do not worry about tomorrow, put God first in your life and everything will work out according to His will.  His will for you is to be well and prosper, to bless you and show you His mercy and grace, but you need to surrender all to Him and when you do that, when you let Him handle your problems, He will give you peace. God will take care of you because He has promised to do so and all you have to do is ask and have faith that He will take care of everything because He Who Promised is Faithful! Hebrews 10:23

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Psalm 46:1-3 Father God, thank you so much for being my refuge and strength, thank you for being there for me when I am in trouble. Help me live one day at a time without fear, O Lord, accepting hardship as a pathway to peace, trusting that you will make all things right if I surrender to your will so that I may be at peace in this life and enjoy eternal life with you forever in the next, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. James 1:22-25 Father in hea ven, blessed be your Holy Name, thank you for reminding me that haring your word is not enough. Help me take action in what I have learned from you, O Lord, give me a loving, caring and noble heart. Give me the desire to bless others, to be a blessing to them in ever way I can be, and may I honor you with my actions each day I walk on this earth, I pray in Jesus' name. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes    Proverbs 3:5-7 Thank you Father God, for your promise to guide me and teach me your ways as I acknowledge and glorify your name. Keep showing me your ways, O Lord, and teaching me your paths of grace, mercy, integrity and love. Give me hunger for your word and help me meditate on it, let it penetrate my heart and give me the wisdom that can only come from you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea. Isaiah 48:17-18 Lord, my God, I give you praise for your abundant mercy and grace, I thank you for your faithfulness even though we are not faithful to you. Please guide my path, O God, let your peace reign in my heart as you teach me your will, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right and, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. Psalm 16:8-10 Mighty and merciful God, thank you for reminding me that you will never abandon me, thank you for your faithfulness and love. Help me keep my eyes focused on Jesus, O Lord, help me remember that with you at my side I walk in victory and should never fear, I pray in his precious name. Amen

This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.  1 John 4:13-15 Heavenly Father, I am so grateful to know that you are a God who is alive and that hears and answers every earnest prayer, a merciful and loving God. Thank you for sending us your Son, our Savior, Mediator and Redeemer. Help me follow his example, O Lord, help me truly love, not with words or speech, but with actions and in truth as he did, I pray in His Holy Name. Ame

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever. Psalm 28:7-9 Thank you Almighty Lord, our God, because you shielded us, rescued us, kept us under your loving care, before we even knew you. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your great mercy, wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin and may my heart leap with joy and praise for you each day I am alive, may I continue to trust in you and praise your name in all circumstances, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,   “when I will raise up for David  a righteous Branch,  a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.  In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety.  This is the name by which he will be called:  The Lord Our Righteous Savior.  Jeremiah 23 5-6 Jesus, Son of the living God, you are just and righteous, and I am so thankful that you are my Lord and righteous Savior. I'm thankful that you love me as I am, that you came to this world willingly to be a living sacrifice for our sins. May I walk in your footsteps, may I be humble, good, just and loving, just as you are, I pray in your Holy Name.  Amen

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.  Isaiah 7:14 Merciful God, I thank you for the greatest gift to mankind, I thank you for the chance you have given us to reconcile through your Son, Jesus. Deliver us from unrighteousness by the blessing which Christ brings, O Lord, teach us to be merry with good and kind hearts and may our hearts rejoice as we remember his birth, in his precious name I pray. Amen

For unto us a Child is born u nto us a Son is given; a nd the government will be upon His shoulder.a nd His name will be called  Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,  Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of  His  government and peace  There will be no end Isaiah 9:6-7 Mighty God in heaven, we may never be worthy of your love and the great sacrifice you did for us over 2000 years ago, but we are so very thankful that your Son, Jesus, our wonderful counselor, mighty Prince of peace came into this world to save us from our sins. May my actions reflect my grateful heart and may I walk in the footsteps of my Savior and bring you honor, I pray in His Holy Name. Amen

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:14 Father God, thank you for sending us your Son, that we may know you, that we may understand your mercy and grace and most of all, that we may have the joy and hope of eternal life. Help me not to forget the true meaning of this season, O Lord, but to focus on the amazing gift that was sent to this world to save us and to share the news with others, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord Jeremiah 29:12-13 Father God, I thank you with all my heart for being attentive to my prayers, for being there for me when I need you and for being a loving and caring Father. I ask that you continue to be with me, O Lord, that you guide each step I take and bring me closer to you, in Jesus' name. Amen

  O give thanks unto the  Lord ; for he is good:  for his mercy  endures  forever.   O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endures forever .   O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy  endures  forever. Psalm 136:1-3  I will give you thanks in the great assembly;        among throngs of people I will praise you. Psalm 35:18     I will give you thanks, for you answered me;          you have become my salvation. Psalm 118:21 I will praise the name of God with a song,  And will magnify Him with thanksgiving.  Psalm 69:30 I give thanks to you, O God, for all of your wonderful blessings. I thank you for all of the answered and unanswered prayers, Father. I know that everything is in your hands and I know that you love me and you want the best for me. Thank you for giving up your life for me, a sinner, and for never giving up on me. Thank you, merciful Lord, for forgiving all of my sins, for allowing me to kn

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4 I am thankful for all your amazing love and blessings, O God, for all of the answered and unanswered prayers, for being my God, my Father, my strength, my shield, my rock and my refuge in times of trouble. I give you praise and honor and I thank you with all my heart in the name of your Son Jesus, my precious Redeemer. Amen

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7 Thank you, Father God,  for your promises, thank you for the peace that only you can give, peace this world could never understand. Help me remember, O Lord, not to be anxious about anything, but trust that you are already at work in my life, to rejoice and be thankful for all that I have, all that you have done for me and all that you will still do for me, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp. He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain  and makes grass grow on the hills. He provides food for the cattle  and for the young ravens when they call. His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of a man; the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. Psalm 147:7-11 Thank you, O Lord, creator of heaven and earth, you are my God and my King and I am thankful for your unfailing love and abundant blessings. Please continue to walk with me, strengthen me and keep me under your loving care, I pray in Jesus name. Amen

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7 Father God, my heart rejoices and is full of thanksgiving for the greatest gift you have given us, your son Jesus. May I walk in him, rooted, build up in him and established in faith as you have called me to be. May I continue to mature and grow in faith as I walk in Him daily and may your blessings, grace and mercy never leave me, I pray in His Holy Name. Amen

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.   Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day  is  its own trouble. M atthew 6:33-34 Heavenly  Lord, thank you for reminding me not to worry about tomorrow, but to trust in you and seek your kingdom first. Help me remember that when I take care of the things in your heart, you will take care of the things in my heart, O God, and please fill me with your peace and strength as I put all my trust in you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8 Father in heaven, it is so easy to get wrapped up in the world and the things of this world, it is so easy to get lost without you. Keep me walking the right path, O God, help me focus on all that is pure, lovely, admirable and praiseworthy, that I may be pure and blameless in your sight, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south. Psalm 107:1-3 Merciful and loving God in heaven, thank you for your mercy and grace, for redeeming me and making me your child and for your never ending love. Make my heart blameless in holiness before you, O Lord, and may my heart rejoice and always be thankful for your amazing love, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100:3 Thank you Father God, because you are our God, you made us and we are privileged to know that we belong to you. Thank you for watching over us, for loving us with your unfailing love. Please continue to be with us, O Lord, continue to send your holy angels to watch over us, to bless our families and our loved ones, continue to work in us and strengthen us, we pray in Jesus' precious name. Amen

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 Thank you, merciful Lord in heaven, for the gift you have given us in Jesus, for reminding us that our troubles are only momentary and for the hope of eternal glory. May I fix my eyes on Jesus, may I walk in his footsteps, grounded in faith and bearing good fruits in everything I do, I pray in his Holy Name. Amen

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 Thank you, Father God for giving me victory over sin through your Son, Jesus, thank you for being my strength when I am weak. Help me stand firm in my faith, O God, to remember that I am your child and everything I do should be for your glory, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name. 1 Chronicles 29:11-13 Lord our God, ruler over all things, we give you thanks for all the wonderful blessing you have given us, for loving us before we were even born. We give you praise and glory and ask that you will continue to be with us always as we continue to walk in your ways and do your will, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 Father God, thank you for reminding me that you are in control of everything, that you know what is best for us and that all things will work out according to your purpose for those who love you. Help me keep that in mind when I face trials, O Lord, strengthen my faith and help me trust in you even when things seem to be impossible, I pray in the name of your loving Son, Jesus. Amen

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17 Father God, help me remember to be thankful in every situation and to remember that whatever I do I should do it as if I am doing it for you, to bring you honor and glory. May my actions reflect the love I have for you and may my heart belong fully to you, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
