Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life

For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. 

Matthew 7:13-14

Merciful Lord in heaven, there are so many distractions and temptations in this world, I know that I am weak, but I am thankful that you are strong and I am thankful for your Holy Spirit that guides my way. Keep me focused on your heavenly kingdom that I may find the small and narrow gate that leads to life, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you. Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
