Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

Almighty and merciful God,  we all have felt the pain of living in a fallen world, we have lost loved ones, have suffered diseases, have hurt deeply for many different reasons, but we are so thankful to know that we can dwell in your shelter and rest in your shadow. Keep reminding us that you are our refuge and our fortress, O Lord, that only you can give us the peace and rest we need and that you are still in control of this world, I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Lord will fight for you

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14 Almighty God in heaven, thank you for reminding us that no matter what impossibilities we face, or how hopeless things may appear, you are always faithful to lead us to victory. Remind us that it does not mean that our struggles will be without pain or fear, but it does mean that we can trust in you to deliver us, O Lord and that our victory will not by our strength, but by your mighty power because you are our Warrior and victorious King. Help us stand still and trust in you with all or our hearts and remember you are always in control, I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
